• Pop Culture

Pop culture includes objects, people or character, events and places. It means what happen in this society right now. Those influence me a lot, because I like to know what are new and popular. Especially, the clothes and music, I very like to go shopping and listen to the popular music.



When I have this class, I learn many new information of pop culture. It is about American culture, such as music, movie. Some of them I never know before, so i am interesting all of this. I feel very happy to learn this class; it gives me much new knowledge.





• Cultural Identity

I chose yellow background, because yellow can give people a warm feeling. First, my hand with "1, 2, 3 magic", that's mean the magic from my hand to show all this pictures to you. The right side has Disney land and Cinderella with her glass slipper, that's my favorite whenever i was a child or right now. And then, the night of Eiffel Tower in pairs which built at 1889, many girls think it is a romantic place, I think so. Ok, move to next part. There is "lucky money" and "good fortune", its very tradition in China. Lucky money maybe everyone know what's that mean, so let me introduce the "good fortune". If you go to China you will see this everywhere, people often put this in the door, means the good fortune is coming to their house. The last part is famous Chinese stars and bridal veil fashion. I want to be Miss America

I don’t identify with Alvarez and her sister, because I think we don’t need to painstakingly to change own style to look as America. Also, our own culture is hard to change, example, skin, hair. People just keep own culture and concept America culture that is a good way to do. Because some people perfect their own culture than a new culture which they feel hard to change, example likes some senior’s immigrant, they feel their own culture is easier to follow and celebrate, because they have their own for a long time and cannot concept or change all their culture soon.




• Music






My favorite song is “Journey” and my favorite artist is Angela Zhang. She is from Taiwan. Mandapop is means Chinese poplar music; it is my favorite type of music.




• Movies




“Babe “is from 1995. This film won 68 Oscar nominations for best film. The director is Chris Noonan. The main actor is a Yorkshire pig and the person who dubbing the pig is called Christine Cavanaugh. The story is about a pig in a farm and something happen with the farmer and other animals.

Babe’s simple and naive thinking and behavior should really cute. The small pig Babe in this movie not just one pig, there are 48 Yorkshire pigs. The pigs are growing up very fast, so the director has to change many pigs. I like this movie very much; this movie is good for everyone.



• Technology

Computer and cell phone are the most important of technology in my life. I use computer to do homework, watch movie, listen music; cell phone is very useful also because it is convenient such as I can call someone anytime or anywhere. So, those two technologies I cannot live without.

This is a popular TV show, it called” gossip girl”. This show talks about the love and friendship between them in the school. Now this show is season 3. Those guys are the high society in New York. It gives me a lot of touch that about thrie crazy life and style.
